Reporting day schedule for New Students Admitted

 The reporting dates for the Undergraduate and Postgraduate students admitted during this academic year 2008-09 are shown below:

   All the students are to submit the following documents in ORIGINAL along with two sets of ATTESTED photocopies.

  • Payment receipts in Original
  • SSLC Mark Statement or SSLC book or equivalent.
  • HSC / Pre-degree / Intermediate Mark Statement or equivalent
  • UG Mark sheets, Provisional Certificate / Degree Certificate (for PG Students)
  • Migration Certificate (in the case of PG candidates from other states)
  • Transfer and Conduct Certificate.
  • Permanent Community Certificate (Other than Forward Community / OC).
  • Xerox of Sports /Games / Extra Curricular Activities Certificate (if any).
  • Passport size photographs - 4 copies
  • Minority certificate (in the case of Minority candidates only)
  • Income Certificate of parent / guardian for the financial year 2007-2008

    Note: All I year B.Tech Students are required to purchase a Lap Top only from the Vendor authorized by the University.

 

Programme on the Reporting Day

1.   Buses will be arranged from Combatore to Karunya at 5.15 AM, 6.00AM and 7.00AM from City Bus Stand - Gandhipuram (Near Hotel Tamil Nadu) and Railway Station 

2.  The candidates must report at the respective hostels and get their room allotment and tokens for their admissions. (Boys must go to Hepzibah/Angelina Residences and Girls must go to Ladies Hostels) 

3.   The Parents and candidates can refresh themselves in the Residences 

4.   Breakfast will be served at 7.30AM 

5.   The Parents and candidates must assemble in the Emmanuel Auditorium for admission at 9.30AM. The University Officials of Karunya University will address the gathering. 

6.  The candidates and parents will go to their respective departments for the admission process such certificate verification and submission, verification of payment of fees, signing undertakings etc. 

7.   Lunch will be provided for all the parents and students at 1.00PM in the Emmanuel Auditorium. 

8.   The admission process will continue in the afternoon sessions in the respective departments 

9.   The parents can leave the campus after leaving their wards in the hostels   
 

General Instructions

1.   Personal belongings such as beddings, bucket & mug, mosquito net, warm clothes, plate and cup (only for lady student) should be brought by the candidate for their own use. Standard Lock & Key to be purchased at the Utility stores in the hostel. This essential to ensure better security. 

2.   Students reporting for admission without any of the required certificate(s) will not be permitted to attend the classes. 

3.   Please note that if any discrepancy with reference to educational qualifications, name, community, age and Nativity is found during the course of his/her studies or if the qualification possessed by the candidate is not accepted by the UGC as per the regulations, the candidate shall not be permitted to continue the course of study and the admission will be cancelled. 

4.   Names of candidates who are absent themselves continuously for more than five days without valid reasons from the date of admission will be struck off from the rolls.  

5.    Dress Code:

Boys

Pants, shirts (tucked in) and shoes whenever they are in the university campus.  During University function and on special occasions, they should wear University uniform (blue blazer and tie will be given by the university).  Jeans and T-shirts are NOT PERMITTED.  Having long hairs and beard are not allowed.

Girls

Salwar Kameez with dupatta or Churidhar with dupatta or Sarees.
