Dr. D. Sujitha Juliet, B.E., M.Tech., Ph.D.
Dr. D. Sujitha Juliet is a Professor & HOD with research expertise in intelligent models, medical image analysis, multimodal machine learning, AI-based text analysis, and indoor navigation systems. She has published 107 research articles, with 816 Scopus citations and an h-index of 14. Her contributions include published patents in AI, medical screening, indoor navigation, and sign language translation. She has completed research projects worth Rs. 46.42 lakhs, guided five Ph.D. scholars, and is currently guiding eight research scholars.
Dr. J. Dinesh Peter is a Professor & Head with research expertise in digital image processing and machine learning models. He has published 66 international journal papers and 22 conference papers, with 772 Scopus citations, 1,288 Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 13. He holds a published patent for a medical glove designed for Parkinson's disease hand tremor management. He has guided 10 Ph.D. scholars, with five currently pursuing their research.
Mr. Subramanian Narayanan is a Professor of Practice in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with over 20 years of industry experience in technology delivery, cloud and DevOps migration, enterprise AI, data analytics, and governance. His expertise includes AWS Cloud, Google Cloud, DevOps, AI/ML, GenAI transformation, GRC, ISO 27001, data privacy, and program management across banking, insurance, life sciences, and IT services. He is pursuing a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Karunya University and holds a PGCPM from IIM Indore and an MCA from IGNOU.
Dr. D. Narmadha is an Associate Professor with research expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision. She has published 21 international journal papers and 28 conference papers, with 71 Scopus citations, 99 Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 5. She holds a published patent on target protein prediction for infectious diseases. She has guided three M.E. and 18 B.E. scholars and has ongoing guidance for Ph.D. and B.E. scholars. Her teaching interests include machine learning, database management systems, soft computing, data visualization, and data science.
Dr. Sebastian Terence is an Associate Professor and Project Manager (Edu Serve) with research expertise in deep learning, machine learning, IoT, and artificial intelligence. He has published 10 international journal papers and 28 conference papers, with 208 Scopus citations, 311 Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 7. He holds two published patents related to IoT-based wild animal intrusion detection and an IoT-enabled pill dispenser. He has guided eight M.E. and 23 B.E. scholars, with six Ph.D. and six B.E. scholars under ongoing guidance.
Dr. S. D. Lalitha is an Associate Professor with research interests in computer vision and deep learning. Dr. Srinitya G is an Assistant Professor with research expertise in image processing, deep learning, and big data analytics. Her teaching interests include data structures, object-oriented programming, artificial intelligence, and software engineering. She has guided two M.E. and 36 B.E. projects and holds a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University.
Dr. Pramod Mathew Jacob is an Assistant Professor with research expertise in software engineering, software modelling and testing, Internet of Things and IoT security, and machine learning. He has published eight international journal papers and 37 conference papers, with 351 Scopus citations, 454 Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 12. He holds four patents, including two granted and two published patents. He has guided 40 B.E. projects, with six ongoing, and is guiding three Ph.D. scholars.
Dr. D. R. Denslin Braja is an Assistant Professor at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, with research interests in Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Medical Image Processing. She has published five international journal papers and two international conference papers. She has guided postgraduate and undergraduate projects and is currently supervising two Ph.D. scholars. She is also the author of the book Modern Operating Systems.
Dr. Kavitha Margret M is an Assistant Professor with research interests in Cyber Security, Blockchain Technology, and Artificial Intelligence. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Information Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, along with M.E. and B.E. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering. She has published 20 international journal papers and six conference papers, with 35 Scopus citations, 77 Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 3. Her research contributions include patents in machine learning, IoT, cloud computing, blockchain, and agriculture.
Dr. V. Jemmy Joyce is an Assistant Professor with research interests in Applied Statistics and Probability Theory. She holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, along with M.Phil., M.Sc., and B.Sc. degrees in Mathematics from Madurai Kamaraj University. She has also completed the Advanced Certification in Data Science and AI from iHub, IIT Roorkee, and Applied Data Science from IIT Palakkad. Dr. K. Porselvi is an Assistant Professor with research interests in algebra, discrete mathematics, graph theory, and uncertainty theory. She is currently guiding one Ph.D. scholar and has teaching interests in engineering mathematics and operations research. Mr. Joms Antony is an Assistant Professor specializing in Computer Graphics, Geometric Processing, Point Cloud Denoising, and Learning-Assisted Geometric Modelling. He holds an M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Parallel Geometric Algorithms at IIT Madras. His research includes 4 international journal and 8 conference publications, with 18 Scopus citations. He has extensive teaching, research, and professional experience in computer science.
Dr. L. B. Lisha is an Assistant Professor with research interests in medical image processing, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Mrs. R. Golden Nancy is an Assistant Professor with research expertise in natural language processing, AI for cybersecurity, data science, and big data analytics. Mr. Martin Victor K is an Assistant Professor with research expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning, Internet of Things, network security, and data and visual analytics. Mrs. Sophia S is an Assistant Professor with research expertise in security in drones and cloud computing. She holds two published patents related to sensor-based UAV mapping for precision agriculture and an IoT-based hardware platform for cryptographic algorithm analysis. Dr. Raj Kumar J. S. is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering with specialisation in Nanoelectronics and Semiconductor Device Modelling, an M.Tech. in VLSI Design with First Class and Distinction, and a B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering. His research interests include GaN HEMTs, wide-bandgap semiconductors, Edge AI, TCAD, machine learning, and AI-enabled hardware modelling. He has over 35 publications, 200+ citations, and an h-index of 7, and has contributed to an ISRO RESPOND-funded project.
Mrs. Angelin Jeba P is an Assistant Professor with research expertise in deep learning, artificial intelligence, biomedical image processing, and big data analytics in healthcare. She has published six international journal papers and 11 conference papers, with four Scopus citations, two Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 1. Her research includes AI-driven healthcare and smart campus applications, supported by a Rs. 1 lakh research project. She has guided 19 B.E. projects, with eight projects ongoing.
Dr. R. Vignesh is an Assistant Professor with research expertise in machine learning, natural language processing, deep learning, reinforcement learning, computer vision, cloud computing, and programming. Dr. S. Christina Magneta is an Assistant Professor with research interests in medical image processing and machine learning. Her research contributions include patents in smart home automation using LiFi and COVID-19 prediction using lung image analysis. She holds a Ph.D. from Anna University (2023), an M.E. in Computer Science (2010), and a B.E. in Computer Science (2008).
Dr. J. Briso Becky Bell is an Assistant Professor with research expertise in machine learning and pattern recognition. His teaching interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, and image processing. He has published five international journal papers and 10 conference papers, with one Scopus citation and an h-index of 1. His research includes a published patent on machine learning and AI-based transcription of signals in 6G wireless communication networks and projects in transport automation and IoT-based crop plantation. Mrs. Hemalatha R is an Assistant Professor with research expertise in artificial intelligence in healthcare, multilingual NLP, deep learning, machine learning, and cloud computing (AWS). Her teaching interests include machine learning, AI in healthcare, Python, data visualization, and NLP. She has six international conference publications, two Scopus citations, two Google Scholar citations, and an h-index of 1. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Quantum + AI in Pharmaceutical and Drug-related Data at Pondicherry Technology University and has two years of teaching and five years of industry experience.
Mrs. Abirami M. K. is an Assistant Professor with research expertise in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, deep learning, AI for cybersecurity, and Agentic AI. Her teaching interests include programming languages, core computer science concepts, artificial intelligence, and AI for cybersecurity. She has four international conference publications, three Scopus citations, and an h-index of 1. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Quantum Cryptography at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences and has professional experience in ETL analysis, technical training, software testing, and Oracle PL/SQL development.
Ms. Gethsia P is an Assistant Professor with research expertise in machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and medical imaging. Her teaching interests include machine learning, deep learning, conversational artificial intelligence, NLP, data science, data visualization, database management systems, and digital system design. She completed her Ph.D. in CSE at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences in 2025 and has served as a Teaching Research Assistant and Assistant Professor at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences.
Ms. Shilpa Catherine Joseph is an Assistant Professor with research expertise in machine learning, software engineering, and artificial intelligence. Her teaching interests include cloud computing, data analysis, machine learning, and algorithms. She has 10 years of professional experience as a software engineer and consultant, working with organizations in the banking, communication, retail, and insurance sectors. She holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Dallas (2019) and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Karunya University (2013).
Ms. Christina Nikitha S is an Assistant Professor with research interests in data analytics, predictive analytics, statistical modeling, machine learning, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. She has experience as an Assistant Professor at Karunya University and as a Programmer Analyst Trainee at Cognizant. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering at Karunya University and holds a Master's in Analytics from Northeastern University, Toronto, and a B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Karunya University.
Dr. R. Hephzibah is an Assistant Professor with research expertise in machine learning, statistical learning theory, computational mathematics, applied probability, optimization techniques, and medical image processing. Her teaching interests include statistical learning theory, probability theory, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Ms. S. Sindhu is an Assistant Professor with research interests in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and natural language processing. Her teaching interests include machine learning, deep learning, data science, computer vision, and programming languages such as C, C++, Python, and Java. Mr. Harivignesh K S is an Assistant Professor with research interests in artificial intelligence in cyber security, biomedical image processing, and Active Directory security. He has contributed to international journal and conference publications and has four ongoing B.E. projects under research guidance. His cybersecurity research experience includes work associated with CVE-2024-0722. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences.
Mr. Marshal S is an Assistant Professor with research interests in cybersecurity, machine learning and deep learning, and software-defined networking (SDN). His research work includes applications in DDoS mitigation, connected vehicle security, fall detection, driver drowsiness detection, and epilepsy detection. His teaching interests include computer networks, cryptography and network security, machine learning techniques, malware analysis, and cyber-physical systems. He holds a Master's degree from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences.
Mr. Neeraj Addura G R is an Assistant Professor with research interests in Quantum-Inspired Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Intelligent Intrusion Detection, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Software-Defined Networking, and Intelligent Network Systems. He holds a Ph.D. and a Master's and Bachelor's degree from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences. His research includes edge computing and AI-based smart irrigation, and he has a published Indian patent for an electronic active 3-way crossover network for speakers.
Ms. Mary Shreya is an Assistant Professor with research interests in cybersecurity, machine learning and deep learning, blockchain, and artificial intelligence. Her research publications focus on applications of Zero Trust, blockchain, AI-powered watermarking, and automated fake detection. She has four ongoing B.E. projects under research guidance. She holds a Master's degree from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences.
Mrs. S. Arul Jothi is an Assistant Professor with expertise in machine learning and deep learning. She holds an M.E. and B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Deep Learning. She has 15 years of teaching experience and has contributed to international conferences and guided undergraduate and postgraduate projects. Her professional contributions include patents and a copyright related to artificial intelligence and deep learning applications.
Dr. D. Darling Jemima is an Assistant Professor with research interests in deep learning, medical image analysis, and artificial intelligence in healthcare. Her research contributions include patents in smart stretcher systems, robotic firefighting devices, and smart trolley systems. Ms. Neeraja J is an Assistant Professor with research interests in computer vision, natural language processing, and artificial intelligence. Her teaching interests include computer vision, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and intelligent robotics. She has four ongoing B.E. projects under research guidance.
