The Department of Information Technology was established in the year 1999. The Department of Information Technology is well equipped for training the students with a state-of-the-art curriculum that provides an ambient atmosphere for learning and acquiring new skills. With a syllabus streamlined to meet the standards set out by the software industries, the department focuses on providing sound theoretical background as well as good practical exposure to the students for software endeavours. The course curriculum of the department is regularly updated from time to time to cope up with the upcoming demands of the industry and recent developments in information technology.

To create centre of excellence for budding professionals so as to equip them with strong fundamental concepts, programming and problem solving skills with an exposure to emerging technologies by providing hands-on experience; also to inculcate in them values, and leadership qualities with a zeal to serve society and to bridge the digital divide.
