Best Practices
Communicate with students
Keeping in touch with students is vital during any changes to your class(es) - whether a viral outbreak like COVID-19, a planned absence on your part, or a crisis impacting all or part of campus.

Teach Anywhere
In response to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), Karunya University has suspended regular classes. The university examinations including the practical examination are postponed.
Karunya continues to take steps to support the health and well-being of our community.
Basic protective measures against the new coronavirus
Stay aware of the latest information on the COVID-19 outbreak, available on the WHO website and through your national and local public health authority. Most people who become infected experience mild illness and recover, but it can be more severe for others.
Wash your hands frequently
Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water.
Why? Washing your hands with soap and water or using alcohol-based hand rub kills viruses that may be on your hands.
About COVID-19
Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV).
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a new strain that was discovered in 2019 and has not been previously identified in humans.
How to attend classes online
Google Meet is a video conferencing tool. KITS offers use the kmail accounts to all Karunya faculty, staff, and students. If your instructor is using Google Meet, here’s what you need to do.
Test your setup beforehand
Try the Test Meeting to make sure your software and audio is set up.

Communicate with students
Keeping in touch with students is vital during any changes to your class(es) — whether a viral outbreak like COVID-19, a planned absence on your part, or a crisis impacting all or part of campus. You'll want to let students know about changes in schedules, assignments, procedures, and broader course expectations.
