The scope of Criminology is not merely limited to serving in the Police Force but includes career prospects in the field of Forensic Science, Research, Security Management, Private Detective & Investigation, Legal Advocacy, Human Rights Advocate, Correctional Officer, Investigative Reporter, Victim Assistance – NGOs and UN organizations. Various events such as conferences, seminars, workshops, special lectures, social activities and extra-curricular activities have been organized to showcase the importance of the program and the need to serve the society differently.
The Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology in its rightful essence offers Courses such as Crime, Psychology & Criminal Behaviour, Criminal Law, Police Administration, Correctional Administration, Forensic Science & Medicine, Cyber Crime, Victim Assistance services, Juvenile Justice System, Private detective & Security Management to ignite young minds towards serving the community with passion and integrity. Along with the theoretical input, Institutional visits to Police Stations, Fire and Rescue Stations, Courts and Prisons are organized for the students to gain practical knowledge of the functioning of the Criminal Justice System. Practical classes also include Indoor Training in Crime scene investigation, Criminal Profiling, Fire & Safety, Finger print developing for which a specialized Criminology lab is being established. Outdoor Training for students comprises of drill, self-defence martial arts, trekking and more to build the physical stamina and instil in them sense of discipline. The syllabus is revised periodically to incorporate the ever-changing forms of crime and the advanced methods of crime prevention and detection.

The Programs aim to train students to assume professional roles in the use of software and hardware tools for video and audio production, with a specialization in multimedia and animation for the new age digital savvy students. The Programs sharpen the creative skills of students by imparting knowledge in related fields such as infographics, motion graphics, photography, video production, audio production, interactive content and film studies where they have the option to specialize in multimedia and animation.
The Programs offer the students a new approach, giving them a chance to experience the best of the two worlds, both conventional and new media practices to make them industry ready. The Visual Communication Program is closely related to the field of Mass Communication and Journalism which also involves Graphic Design, Production and Data Journalism domains that constantly evolve in the global media today. Students will get to work hands-on in live media assignments from the industry as well as in-house productions, which is a unique feature of the Program.

The threat of cyber security attacks is increasingly apparent to individuals and organisations across the globe. From hacking to phishing, scamming to grooming, and botnets to cyber-terrorism, the variety and ingenuity of exploits appear to expand constantly.
In this context, this program addresses system vulnerabilities and preventive measures that may counter cyber-attacks, including steps to repair systems weaknesses, prevent repeat occurrences and collecting & examining digital evidence using a variety of digital and mobile forensics tools. It also helps in developing a detailed understanding of comprehensive cyber risk management practices for ensuring overall security.
