Diagnostics and Therapeutic Laboratory

Diagnostics and Therapeutic Laboratory provides facilities and instrumentation for the measurement, analysis and evaluation of signals that originate from physiological phenomena. The lab is also equipped with specialized and general-purpose computer-based data acquisition systems that can analyse signals and to mention a few are given below: • Allengers 24 Channel EEG Machine• Allengers 4 Channel EMG Machine• Bio kit physiography• Polyrite MachineThe lab also hosts a variety of equipments to carry out experiments related to therapeutics.
Biosignal and Image Processing Laboratory

Biosignal Processing and Image Processing is one of the important lab where various algorithms and techniques are developed and tested relevant to biosignals and images. The lab is in housed with relevant softwares like MATLAB and Anaconda Python for image and signal processing. The students are exposed to basic signal and image processing like: • Processing of ECG, EEG and EMG signals for diagnosis of abnormalities• PPG, PCG and EGG signals for diagnosis of various essential parameters• Various medical images such as MRI, X-Ray, CT, fMRI are analysed using image processing software. • Major research works on Image and Signal Processing using Machine Learning Algorithms
Bio-Sensors and Transducers Laboratory

Sensor and Transducer Laboratory is fully equipped with wide varieties of sensors that are capable of measuring basic parameters like temperature, pressure, blood flow etc. This laboratory is basically conducted to enhance the knowledge of the students in the field of Medical Sensors and expose them to the modern sensor technology.
Medical Electronics and Troubleshooting Laboratory

Medical Electronics Laboratory is a basic Engineering lab, where the students are provided with engineering skills by way of breadboard circuit design with electronic devices and components. The students are given training to design basic interfacing circuits and signal conditioning circuits. The students are trained so that they can test and analyze any complex circuits using simulation softwares like PSPICE, MultiSim, Proteus, Eagle and Thinker Cad etc. They are also trained to design and analyze various electronic circuits for medical applications such as: • Multivibrators • RC coupled amplifiers• Oscillators• Digital logic circuitry circuits etc.
Wearables and IoT Laboratory

Wearable and IoT Laboratory was established to expose the students to recent trends in healthcare industry. The lab is fully equipped with wide varieties of bio sensor modules, latest embedded boards and wireless devices. This lab mainly offers the basic skills for developing wearable devices. This laboratory is in housed with equipment’s that will develop the skills in the field of:• e-health and m-health• Telemedicine• IoT and Smart healthcare• Medical regulations• MEMS and Nano sensors that are the essentials of wearable devices
Bio-Virtual Instrumentation Laboratory

Bio-Virtual Instrumentation Lab provides the facilities related to Biomedical instrumentation, Medical Signals & Image Processing. This Lab provides options to create, edit and debug bio virtual instruments using LabVIEW Software by National Instruments. Laboratory is equipped with various biomedical tool kits which will enable the students to handle them practically for acquiring the patient data and to process them efficiently using the Advanced Bio-Virtual Instrumentation Software. Virtual Instrumentation Lab trains the students with latest Computer based data acquisition devices like:• DAQ• MyDAQ • MyRiO cards • NIELVIS
Surgical and Critical Care Equipments Laboratory

Surgical and Critical Care Equipments Laboratory provides a comprehensive practical exposure to students on various equipment for surgery and critical care commonly used in hospitals. Training on critical care equipments helps the biomedical students on acute trauma management and troubleshooting of medical equipments. The equipments available in the laboratory include:• Patient monitoring system• Surgical Diathermy• Dialyzer• Nerve Stimulator• 12 Lead ECG monitoring system
