The Department of Aerospace Engineering offers the following programs:

This program offers a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices in the aerospace industry, preparing students for rewarding careers in aviation, space exploration, and related fields. Students will explore the fundamentals of aerospace engineering, from aircraft design to propulsion systems. Through summer internships and project work, students apply their domain knowledge and practical skills to develop realistic solutions for problems in the aerospace and allied industries.

Eligibility criteria for admission:

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology / Biology / Informatics Practices / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Entrepreneurship (any of the three) with minimum marks in the above subjects taken together as per AICTE norms.

Lateral Entry (subject to availability): Passed Minimum THREE years / TWO years (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination with at least 50% marks in ANY branch of Engineering and Technology.(OR) Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 50% marks and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.(OR)Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector.

In addition to a B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering, graduates can earn a specialization in “Unmanned Aerial Vehicles” by completing additional elective courses and projects to a tune of 18 credits focused on the design, development, and operation of unmanned aircraft systems. This specialization prepares students for the dynamic and evolving field of UAVs, positioning them at the forefront of technological advancements and applications in the aerospace industry.

The Department of Aerospace Engineering offers both full time and part time Ph.D programs in all major areas of Aerospace Engineering and inter-disciplinary domains.
