THE ROBOTICS SOCIETY
In the recent years activities on Robotics has moved their interest beyond the traditional areas of Industrial Applications and entered innovative domains of education, rehabilitation, infotainment and even into the homes. This rapid emergence invoked many Robotics researchers in India to form an Academic Society to further increase the Robotics activities and for better interaction among ourselves. With this objective, researchers got together to form a society on 10th July 2011. Officially, The Robotics Society was registered on June 21, 2017.
Note that in some of the earlier documents, Robotics Society of India (RSI) might be mentioned, which needs to be read as “The Robotics Society”, the registered name of the society.
Student Chapter
The Robotics Society (TRS), India empowers technical institutions in India to start authorized TRS Student Chapters and to organize and mentor activities related to Robotic Science in the respective institutes. This student chapter shall care for mentoring the interested students via student’s networking and also for promoting knowledge sharing activities in the area of Robotics.
