


History
Chemistry Department was established in the year 2007 and from then the department has been engaged in imparting the highest level and quality of academic education. It has grown tremendously in infrastructure, research and strength of the faculty. The faculties strive to promote the innovative interest of the student community and also to furnish them with insights into the wonders of creation, which is closely connected to the development of mankind. The department caters to the need of every branch of Engineering and also has the potential of offering many degree programmes.

Eligibility
B.Sc. (Hons) Chemistry:
Pass in 10 + 2 or equivalent examination in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology / Computer Science or similar subjects from a recognized board with 50% of marks (overall percentage in HSc / +2).
B.Sc. Forensic Science:
Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalentqualification from a recognized educational Board, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and/ or Maths as main subjects and aminimum aggregate score of 50%.
M.Sc. Chemistry:
50% of marks in the qualifying examination (B.Sc. Chemistry major / B.Sc. Applied Sciences / B.Sc. Applied Chemistry / B.Sc. Bio-chemistry/ B.Sc. Textile Chemistry) or Equivalent.
M.Sc. Forensic Science:
Bachelor degree in Science / Forensic Science/ Medicine / Veterinary Science / Dental Science /Pharmacy / Engineering or Equivalent degree with a minimum 50 % marks from arecognized University.

Dr A Samson Nesaraj, Professor Dr A Samson Nesaraj, Professor received a project grant of Rs. 27.46 Lakhs from Central Power Research Institute (Ministry of Power, Government of India) on “Development of nanocrystalline materials for solid oxide fuel cells working at 600 o C” (In collaboration with M/s. h2e Power Systems Pvt. Ltd., Pune)
