Overall this lab is Universal Place and Platform to carryout research work of Full time and part time researchers.
Solar and Wind Energy Laboratory
The overall objective of the PV Training Kit is to ensure that the students are able to better learn and grasp the concept related to the functioning of a PV Power plant so as be well equipped in Design, Installation, Operation and Maintenance of it. Single PV module I-V and P-V characteristics (with radiation and temperature changing effect), I-V and P-V characteristics with series and parallel combination of modules, Effect of shading, Effect of tilt angle, Demonstration of diode working as Blocking and Bypass diode and stand alone system based experiments are the highlights of the experimental setup.
A small 650 watts domestic wind mill is available to have hands on experience on wind generating system in laboratory. It is designed to generate the electricity from the wind power but the energy output is less than the commercial system. The students can study the power flow in different stages. It is also providing supply for our renewable energy laboratory usage.
