NUTRIMINES 2023 28.02.2023

"This programme was organized as an admission promotional event focusing on the school students. Towards this, poster and quiz competitions were conducted, a. Poster Competition for age group 10-15 years on the theme “Millets: Small but MIGHTY” b. Quiz Competition for age group 15-20 years Two guest speakers were also invited to address and popularise the course of Food Prodcessing Technology on 28 th of February, 2023."

ALUMNI MEET 2024 22.03.2024

The alumni gathering in 2024, held on March 22nd, was a rich blend of nostalgia, camaraderie, and valuable connections. With a turnout of sixteen alumni, the event represented a spectrum of graduating years and professional paths. It served as a platform for reminiscing about shared experiences, catching up on one another's lives, and exploring potential collaborations or opportunities. Attendees enthusiastically shared updates on their personal and professional achievements since their time at the institution, fostering a strong sense of pride and accomplishment within the alumni community. Conversations also delved into future plans for alumni engagement projects and methods to contribute back to the alma mater. Overall, the gathering proved to be a success, reinforcing the bonds among alumni and enhancing their relationship with the institution

Alumni lecture 18.04.2024

An alumni lecture was organized on 18.4.2024 by division of food processing Technology which was attended by 48 participants . This event was handled by our alumni Mr.Kathan parekh .In his talk he showcased some of the work he is doing.He also encouraged all the student to explore job opportunities abroad.

An alumni lecture was organized on 12.3.2024 by division of food processing Technology which was attended by 60 participants . This event was handled by our alumni Mr.Dhanus .In his talk he talked about the technical aspects of few of his work.

This event was handled by our alumni Mr.Arun maran .In his talk he told about his journey of becomming FSSAI auditor and encouraged students to preapre well and try to become Auditor

WORLD FOOD DAY 2023. Water is life, water is food. Leave no one behind. 17.10.2023

"The half a day event was organised as part of the World Food Day celebrations. The event featured lectures by distinguished guest speakers, Mr.V.P.S. Radhakrishnan, Managing Director, Angel starch Pvt. Ltd., Erode, Mr.Sivakumar Nagarajan, Assistance Vice President (Quality Assurance), Reliance retail Ltd., Navi Mumbai and Mr.Prabhu Gandhikumar, MD, TABP snacks and beverages Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore . The purpose of the session was to gain insights into the challenges and innovations in the food industry. A notable aspect of the discussion revolved around sustainable practices within the Food industry and how Angel Starch, Reliance retail and TABP snacks incorporates environmental responsibility into their operations. Speakers brought their years of experience in the Food Sector in leadership and strategic management, to make the lectures interesting. "

Nutrition Awareness Activity (24th of January,2020)

The Protein Foods and Nutrition Development Association of India, co-sponsored by Marico, Ruchi Soya and JRS Rettenmaier hosted the 'Nutrition Awareness Activity' at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Coimbatore on the 24th of January,2020. The program began with the Poster Presentation and Recipe Making events, followed by the seminar, which addressed several nutritional aspects of a healthy diet. The program served as an excellent platform for students to express their knowledge and creativity and was quite entertaining for the students as well.

The Department of Food Processing Technology, Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Coimbatore in association with Indian Dairy Association, Taminadu Chapter, Chennai has organized a two seminar on “Promotion of Dairy Entrepreneurship Through Innovative Strategies” on 18th and 19th October, 2019. On 18th October. Important industry participants were: Mrs. P. Vijyalakshmi, Managing Director, Sri Mahalakshmi Dairy as the chief guest and Mr. C.P. Charles, President of Indian Dairy Association, Tamil Nadu Chapter.

The event was a great success as it has great potential for future placements.
