Bachelor of Technology (Food Processing and Engineering)
The undergraduate degree is a full time, residential four years program that comprises of academic subjects, industrial internship and a research project work. Students of the undergraduate degree program will be studying subjects in the following areas of food engineering: mathematics and statistics, basic engineering, post-harvest technology, food processing and engineering, food science, food quality and safety, and food supply chain. The students are also provided with industrial exposure through summer internships, in plant trainings, and industry sponsored research projects. The department also offer on campus certificate courses through external agencies on HACCP, ISO, Halal standards, etc. Our students are recruited for master’s degree programs in top institutions in the world and are employed in reputed food industries in India and abroad.
Eligibility :
Full time 4 years program: A pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination with 60% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (or) A pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination with 60% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Zoology / Botany / Mathematics
Lateral entry 3 years program: Diploma in Food Processing and Preservation / Chemical Engineering / Agricultural Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / B.Sc. in Food Sciences / Food Sciences and Quality Control / Food Nutrition and Dietetics / Food Technology
